Jesus Teaches at the Temple
Scripture: When Jesus enters Jerusalem, he teaches and is immediately confronted by the religious authorities with, Who gave you the authority to do these things? Luke 20:2
Jesus has no official religious training nor does He hold any official religious office. Yet, He’s stirring up the people with His revolutionary ideas and actions.
During the day, He points to a widow, placing her offering (two mites-the smallest of coins) into the Temple treasury and tells His disciples that this poor widow gave more than anyone. Others give from their surplus, but she has given out of her poverty all that she had to live on (Luke 21:3).
The same day, He also teaches about things to come (worldwide famines, natural disasters, and wars and rumors of war).
Personal Points to Ponder:
Prayer: Father, help me to remember each day to offer a magnificent gift to You.

Personal Points to Ponder:
- By what authority do you act the way you do?
- 2000 years later, what inspires your giving?
- What “end time” event have you witnessed? Do you really believe Jesus is coming back?
Prayer: Father, help me to remember each day to offer a magnificent gift to You.
